NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2076: Pioneering Nepal’s Biggest Live Hybrid Event

  • Challenge: To ensure the continuity of Nepal’s largest and most prestigious sports awards ceremony during severe COVID-19 restrictions that prohibited large physical gatherings.
  • Emazing’s Solution: A groundbreaking live hybrid event was engineered. This involved a large professional chroma key (green screen) studio setup. The entire stage design was created virtually using advanced computer graphics, allowing for grandeur without physical construction. Only a select few key guests and award nominees attended in person, adhering to strict health protocols. The wider audience participated virtually via Zoom, while the event was simultaneously broadcast live across all major Nepali television channels and YouTube. A crucial element was the in-venue experience for the physically present guests: multiple large TV screens displayed the fully integrated live program, showing the presenters and performers composited into the virtual stage, rather than just the raw green screen feed. This ensured they experienced the full production value.
  • Impact: The event was a landmark success, described by Emazing as “probably the one and only such large scale show that ran in hybrid model that was live” in Nepal at that time. It showcased Emazing’s ability to innovate rapidly and deliver high-quality productions under unprecedented circumstances.
